Gillian and I have now found time to go through the superb collection of photographs; in fact, I have sat at the computer and gone through them all again! We are absolutely delighted with the results; you have taken very many wonderful close-up shots of our friends and family for which we thank you most sincerely. You have provided us with a wonderful record of our celebration which will remain with us, we hope, for many years yet to come.

Writer and historian Michael Bloch was today's guest of honour at the Oxford and Cambridge Club. Presentation of his latest book about the late and former leader of the Liberal Democrat party Jeremy Thorpe. He gave his guests an insight on the long and patient exchange he had with the charismatic politician whose life has been fuelled with passion, mysteries and scandals.
